On April 13, 2024, the 6th Young Scholars Forum on Traffic Engineering and Management was successfully held in Weishui Campus of Chang'an University. The forum was hosted by the organizing committee of Young Scholars Forum on Traffic Engineering & Management, and co-hosted by the School of Information Engineering of Chang 'an University. Nearly 300 young scholars from more than 70 universities in China participated in the forum, such as Tsinghua University, Southeast University, Tongji University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Gong Siyuan, the rotating chairman of the organizing committee of the Young Scholars Forum and associate Professor of the School of Information Engineering of Chang 'an University, presided over the opening ceremony.
Zhao Xiangmo, President of Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology, Professor of School of Information Engineering of Chang 'an University, delivered a welcome speech. He extended warm welcome and sincere thanks to the participants and young scholars, and encouraged young scholars to closely follow the strategy of building a powerful country through transportation, seize opportunities and challenges, strengthen academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation, promote the sharing of knowledge and the collision of innovative ideas, so as to bring more innovation and progress to the field of transportation.
This forum is divided into two parts: keynote report and doctoral forum. Professor Yin Jiateng, Beijing Jiaotong University; Associate Professor Xu Guangming, Central South University; Professor Liu Zhanwen, Chang 'an University; Professor Zhang Weibin, Nanjing University of Science and Technology; Associate Professor Cheng Xin, Chang 'an University; Professor Chen Zhibin, New York University Shanghai; Associate Professor Yao Zhihong, Southwest Jiaotong University; Professor Sun Xiaotong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; Professor Xu Zhandong, Southwest Jiaotong University; Professor Fu Chenyi, Northwestern Polytechnical University; Professor Gu Zi, Southeast University Associate Researcher Yuan, Wang Song from Chongqing Jiaotong University, and Zhao Wenjing from Hong Kong Polytechnic University have made wonderful reports at the keynote forum. 11 young doctors from Chang 'an University, Southeast University, Tongji University and Tianjin University also shared the latest research progress at the doctoral forum. The young scholars shared their research results on many hot issues in the field of transportation, such as traffic system perception, cooperative control, traffic flow theory, traffic network modeling and analysis, and intelligent transportation equipment, which triggered heated discussions among the participating scholars.
