“Internet of Vehicles Joint Lab Funded by the Ministry of Education and China Mobile” was jointly established by the Ministry of Education and China Mobile Communications Corporation under the guidance of the 13th Five-Year Strategic Cooperation Agreement. It built by China Mobile, Tsinghua University and Chang'an University. The construction period will be three years, and three parties will invest 40 million yuan, on major scientific and technological issues in the related fields of Internet of Vehicles. For the demands of development of intelligent networked vehicles, the research will focus on key directions as key technologies for vehicle networking and smart cars, big data applications for the Internet of Vehicles, and car networking infrastructure and testing of in-vehicle equipment”. The laboratory will build an international-levelled platform that can continuously carry out R&D innovation, project incubation and application demonstration in the field of vehicle networking and intelligent networked vehicles. The project shall generate some landmark achievements and create several innovative applications at world level.
