Supported by the China Scholarship Council and the Young Backbone Teachers' Overseas Study Program of Chang'an University, Associate Professor Kang Jun and Associate Professor Yang Yun, who are working in the Department of Internet of Things and Network Engineering of our school, have successfully visited to Australia and the United States respectively. From 18:00 to 21:00 on May 30, 2019, the two teachers gave a special lecture on returning to China for our faculties and students in WM1201 classroom of Mingyuan Teaching Building in Weishui Campus.
Associate Professor Kang Jun introduced the history, environment, transportation and culture of Australia, and shared the characteristics of the information specialty of Sydney University of Science and Technology. He also mentioned the admission conditions of postgraduates and research progress of collaborative tutors with foreign countries during his visit. He introduced the big data processing specialized characteristic at Sydney University of Science and Technology, trajectory data processing and other related topics. In the last part of his lecture, Associate Professor Kang Jun warmly encouraged students to go abroad and improve themselves.
Associate Professor Yang Yun gave a lecture titled as American impression and thinking, and mainly introduced the academic status and scale of the University of Florida, research characteristics of FICS laboratory in hardware security field led by her foreign cooperative professor, and courses, tuition fees, learning modes and research topics of doctoral students of Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering specialty. Compared with domestic higher education, economy and culture, she guided students to think about future relations of China with the United States, and encouraged students for self-esteem and self-reliance. She also sincerely exhorted students to study abroad in the future as well as never forget to return to serve our motherland.
In the lectures, students carefully listened and gave warm applause to the excellent lectures of the two Associate Professors.
