Recently, the Huawei ICT Academy under the School of Information Engineering has been officially promoted to a Leading Huawei ICT Academy, marking a major phased achievement of the school in ICT talent cultivation, industry-education integration and other fields, and laying a solid foundation for further deepening school-enterprise collaborative education and improving the quality of talent training.
Relying on Huawei's ICT technology system, the School of Information Engineering has actively promoted the innovation of talent training models and launched a series of distinctive and effective education activities. Twenty-two undergraduate students majoring in Computer Science and Technology at the school have obtained the Huawei Certified ICT Associate - Artificial Intelligence (HCIA-AI) certification after completing online courses. Meanwhile, the school recently joined hands with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. to hold a special teacher training program titled Application and Engineering Practice of Ascend Ecosystem Large Model Technologies. Organized by the Academic Affairs Office and hosted by the School of Information Engineering, the training attracted nearly 40 teachers from eight colleges across the university. Through two days of systematic learning and practical exchanges, participating teachers enhanced their teaching and engineering practice capabilities in large model technologies, injecting new impetus into curriculum reform and talent development.
The promotion to Leading Huawei ICT Academy is a full recognition of the school's achievements in ICT education and a brand-new development opportunity.
